Understanding Your Free Bundled Domain (Radix .online Offer)

If you've noticed an extra .online domain in your Hover account that you don't remember registering yourself, you're not alone — and it's not a mistake. This article explains what the free bundled domain offer is, why it showed up in your account or cart, and what your options are for keeping or removing it.

What Is the Free Bundled Domain Offer?

Certain registrations — for example, domains purchased through select partner or promotional offers (including Radix promotions tied to partners like Etsy or Vistaprint) — come with a complimentary .online domain included for the first year. This bundled domain is provided at no charge as part of that offer. It's a legitimate, intentional part of your order, not an error, a mistaken registration, or an unauthorized charge.

Because the bundled domain is added automatically during checkout for qualifying offers, it's easy to miss at the time of purchase. That's why it can come as a surprise later when you see it listed among your domains.

Before You Begin

  • Check your list of domains in your Hover account and look for a .online domain you don't recognize registering yourself — this is likely the bundled domain from a promotional offer.
  • Check that domain's Auto-Renew setting so you know whether it's currently set to renew automatically.

What Happens After the First Year

Note: The free period covers the first year only. After that first year, the bundled .online domain renews at the normal renewal price unless you turn off auto-renew or remove the domain before it renews. If you take no action, expect a future renewal charge at the standard rate for that domain.

Removing or Declining the Bundled Domain

If you don't want to keep the free .online domain past its first year, you have the same options available for any domain you don't want to keep:

  • Turn off Auto-Renew for the domain and let it expire at the end of the free period — see Turning Auto-Renew On or Off for the steps.
  • Cancel or remove the domain from your account the same way you would cancel any other Hover service — see Canceling Services with Hover for the steps.

This article won't duplicate those steps here — follow the linked articles above for the actual walkthrough.
