Processing No-Hassle Renewals for Hover Services

Hover's no-hassle renewal feature lets you renew a domain or email address without signing in to your Hover account. It's especially useful if you're locked out of your account and need to renew right away to avoid a service interruption, or if you'd like to renew on behalf of a friend or family member.

Note: No-hassle renewal only processes a renewal payment — it doesn't grant access to make any other changes, and it doesn't indicate any level of domain ownership. You'll still need to sign in for that.

Before you begin

  • The domain or email address you want to renew, spelled exactly as registered.
  • A payment method to complete checkout.
  • A heads-up that you'll intentionally enter incorrect sign-in details — this is expected, and it's what triggers the no-hassle flow (more on this in Step 2).

Step 1: Start the renewal and add it to your cart

  1. Go to the Hover renewal page, enter the domain or email address you want to renew, and select the right-pointing arrow.
  2. Select Add to cart.
  3. Click Proceed to cart.
  4. Review your cart and select Secure checkout.

Step 2: Trigger the no-hassle flow

  1. At the account login screen, enter any random credentials — you're not trying to sign in successfully.
  2. You'll see an invalid username or password error. This is expected. Select Sign in again to fail a second time and trigger the no-hassle option.

Step 3: Choose to renew without signing in

  1. Once the no-hassle option appears, select Renew without signing in.
  2. Choose Yes, skip sign in to confirm.

Step 4: Enter billing details and submit your order

  1. Enter the required billing information and click Continue.
  2. To receive a copy of the invoice, enter your email address, check the box agreeing to the Terms of Service, and click Submit order.

Note: This receipt won't appear in your Hover account's invoice history, since the renewal wasn't processed while signed in. Keep the confirmation email if you need it for your records.
