Keeping your domains and email active means renewing them before they expire. You can renew any Hover service manually from your account, or let Hover's auto-renew feature charge and renew your services automatically at the end of each term.
Manual renewal vs. auto-renew
You can confirm whether auto-renew is turned on for a domain or email subscription from your Hover control panel. If you'd rather manage renewals yourself, or you need to renew something right away, the steps below walk you through it manually.
Before you begin
- Access to your Hover account: you'll need to sign in with your chosen two-factor authentication (2FA) method for most of these steps.
- A payment method on file: your saved billing information is applied automatically once you're signed in.
- No account access? Skip ahead to Renewing without signing in below.
Renewing a single domain
- Sign in to your Hover control panel using your chosen 2FA method.
- If you have multiple domains, you'll land on the domains list. Click Renew beside the domain you want to renew.
- Select your desired renewal duration, using the + button to add more years, then click Secure checkout.
- Confirm the information on the checkout page, check the box agreeing to the Terms of Service, and click Submit order.
You'll receive an email confirmation once the renewal order is complete.
Renewing multiple domains at once
- Sign in to your Hover control panel using your chosen 2FA method.
- Check the box next to each domain you want to renew, then click the Bulk edit: select drop-down menu and choose Renew.
- Select your desired renewal duration, using the + button to add more years, then click Secure checkout.
- Confirm the information on the checkout page, check the box agreeing to the Terms of Service, and click Submit order.
Renewing a personal email subscription
- Select Personal emails from the navigation menu, then click Renew.
- Select your desired renewal duration, using the + button to add more years, then click Secure checkout.
- Confirm the information on the checkout page, check the box agreeing to the Terms of Service, and click Submit order.
Renewing without signing in
If you can't access your account, you can still renew using Hover's no-hassle renewal option — useful if you've lost your login details or you're renewing on behalf of a friend or family member. See Processing No-Hassle Renewals for the full walkthrough.
