This article walks you through connecting your Titan Email mailbox to any other app by entering a few server settings yourself. Once you're done, you'll be able to send and receive your Titan Email directly from that app.
Before you check the steps below
If you are using a popular email client like Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, or a mobile mail app, we recommend using the links to their setup guides. These resources provide step-by-step instructions for your specific application, making the configuration process much simpler.
Before you begin
- Third-party app access turned on for your mailbox. If you're not sure whether this is on, contact Hover Support and they can check or enable it for you.
- An app password, if two-factor authentication is turned on. Some apps can't accept your regular mailbox password when 2FA is on — you'll need an app-specific password instead. Contact Hover Support if you need help setting one up.
- Your Titan Email address and password (for example, John@yourdomain.com).
Step 1: Choose IMAP or POP
Decide which type of connection you want before you start:
- IMAP keeps your mailbox in sync across every device — your app, Titan webmail, and anywhere else you check email all show the same messages. This is what we recommend for most people.
- POP downloads your mail into this one app only. Messages won't show up in Titan webmail or on your other devices afterward.
Step 2: Open manual account setup in your email app
In your email app's account settings, look for an option to add an account manually. It's sometimes labeled "Other," "IMAP/POP," or "Advanced setup." Choose this option rather than "Sign in with Google" or any automatic setup, since Titan Email isn't one of the providers most apps auto-detect.
Step 3: Enter your account details
Enter the following when your app asks for your account information:
- Email address: your Titan Email address
- Password: your Titan Email password (or your app password, if you set one up in Step 2 above)
- Username (if your app asks for this separately): your Titan Email address again
Step 4: Enter your incoming server settings
Enter the incoming server settings for whichever option you chose in Step 1. Don't change these values — they need to match exactly.
If you chose IMAP:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Incoming server | imap.titan.email |
| Port | 993 |
| Encryption method | SSL/TLS |
If you chose POP:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Incoming server | pop.titan.email |
| Port | 995 |
| Encryption method | SSL/TLS |
Step 5: Enter your outgoing server settings
These are the same whether you chose IMAP or POP:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Outgoing server | smtp.titan.email |
| Port | 465 |
| Encryption method | SSL/TLS |
Step 6: Save and verify the connection
Save your settings. Most apps will automatically test the connection and let you know right away if something's wrong.
What you'll see when it's done
Your email app will show your Titan Email account as successfully added.
- If you chose IMAP, your existing mail starts syncing into the app.
- If you chose POP, new mail starts arriving in the app, but it won't appear in Titan webmail or on your other devices.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The app rejects your password or won't connect | Two-factor authentication is turned on, which blocks your regular password for third-party apps | Contact Hover Support to set up an app password, then try again |
| You can't find a manual or IMAP/POP setup option | Every app labels this differently, and some hide it under an "Advanced" or "Other" menu | Search your app's own help documentation for "manual setup," "IMAP," or "add account manually" |
| New emails aren't showing up in Titan webmail | The account was set up using POP, which only downloads mail to that one app | Switch to IMAP using the settings in Step 4 if you want your mail to stay in sync everywhere |
