Set Up Hover Email in a Mail Client

Hover email works with most third-party email clients — like Outlook, Apple Mail, and Mozilla Thunderbird — on your computer, phone, or tablet, as long as you connect using IMAP or POP. IMAP keeps your mail synced across all your devices, while POP downloads mail to a single device. This article provides the server settings you need and links to setup guides for popular clients.

Before you begin

  • A small or big mailbox: mail server setup only works with a traditional mailbox. Mail forwards can't be used with a mail client.
  • Your mailbox password confirmed: log in to Hover's webmail first to make sure your password works, since you'll enter the same credentials in your mail client.

Note: Hover supports IMAP and POP connections only — Microsoft Exchange is not supported. Hover also does not directly support the setup of third-party email clients; use the vendor links below if you need help.

Confirm your mailbox password via webmail

  1. Go to Hover's webmail portal, enter your email address and password, then select Login. If login is unsuccessful, see Updating Your Email Password to update your mailbox password.

Note: Former Vistaprint email accounts can be accessed from any browser at mail.b.hostedemail.com.
