Hover email works with most third-party email clients — like Outlook, Apple Mail, and Mozilla Thunderbird — on your computer, phone, or tablet, as long as you connect using IMAP or POP. IMAP keeps your mail synced across all your devices, while POP downloads mail to a single device. This article provides the server settings you need and links to setup guides for popular clients.
Before you begin
- A small or big mailbox: mail server setup only works with a traditional mailbox. Mail forwards can't be used with a mail client.
- Your mailbox password confirmed: log in to Hover's webmail first to make sure your password works, since you'll enter the same credentials in your mail client.
Note: Hover supports IMAP and POP connections only — Microsoft Exchange is not supported. Hover also does not directly support the setup of third-party email clients; use the vendor links below if you need help.
Confirm your mailbox password via webmail
- Go to Hover's webmail portal, enter your email address and password, then select Login. If login is unsuccessful, see Updating Your Email Password to update your mailbox password.
Note: Former Vistaprint email accounts can be accessed from any browser at mail.b.hostedemail.com.
