Calendar Synchronization for Thunderbird

Hover big mailboxes include a calendar feature you can use as your personal agenda. You can sync this calendar with Mozilla Thunderbird using CalDAV — a standard that keeps your calendar events consistent between Hover webmail and your Thunderbird calendar. This article walks you through connecting the two.

Before you begin

  • A Hover big mailbox: the calendar feature is included with big mailboxes.
  • Your Hover email address and password.
  • Thunderbird installed on your computer.

Step 1: Start a new network calendar

  1. Open Thunderbird and select the calendar icon in the top-right corner.
  2. Select the + icon next to "Calendar."
  3. Select On the Network, then select Continue.

Step 2: Connect to your Hover calendar via CalDAV

  1. Select CalDAV.
  2. Enter your Hover email address as the username.
  3. For the location, enter the following URL, replacing youremailaddress with your full Hover email address: https://mail.hover.com/caldav/youremailaddress/default
  4. Select Continue.

Step 3: Name and finish adding the calendar

  1. Enter a name for the calendar, then select Continue.
  2. Select Done.

Your Hover webmail calendar events will now appear in Thunderbird. Changes you make in webmail will show up in Thunderbird the next time it refreshes.
