Your Hover email password lets you sign in to webmail and set up mail clients on your phone or computer. This article explains the two ways to update it: through your Hover control panel, and directly inside webmail — and covers what to do if you've forgotten it entirely.
Choosing the Right Method
If you've forgotten your email password, reset it through the Hover control panel. If you know your current password and want to change it yourself, you can do that from within webmail.
Before you begin
- Your Hover account sign-in: you'll need to sign in to your Hover control panel using your chosen two-factor authentication (2FA) method.
- A new password ready to enter: passwords must be 14 characters long and include at least one number, one special character, and one capital letter. Spaces aren't allowed.
Step 1: Change Your Password via the Hover Control Panel
Use this method if you've forgotten your current password, or prefer to manage it from your account.
- Sign in to your Hover control panel using your chosen 2FA method.
- Select Email from the navigation bar.
- Click Edit beside the email address you want to reset, then click Edit password.
- In the Edit password pop-up, enter your new password, then click Save password.
Note: Passwords must be 14 characters long and include at least one number, one special symbol, and one capital letter. Spaces aren't allowed.
Step 2: Change Your Password via Webmail
Use this method if you already know your current password and want to update it yourself.
- Sign in to Hover webmail.
- Click Settings from the vertical ribbon menu.
- Choose Password, then click Change password.
- Enter your current email password and your new password, then click Save.
Note: Former Vistaprint customers are hosted on Hover's Enhanced Email Cluster B server and should sign in there instead.
